Most body contouring devices work by freezing, heating, or cavitating tissue from the outside in. Onda Pro works differently. It uses Coolwaves — radiofrequency energy that passes through the surface of the skin and is absorbed selectively by fat cells beneath it. The fat layer heats; the skin stays comfortable. That selectivity is what lets us treat three distinct depths with one device, using different handpieces for stubborn fat, cellulite, and laxity. Onda Pro is made by DEKA — the same manufacturer behind our Tetra Pro CO₂ platform — and it's chosen for the same reason: it does what it claims to do. The deep handpiece delivers Coolwaves into the subcutaneous fat layer, disrupting fat cell membranes in localized, hard-to-shift areas — the pockets that don't respond to training or diet. The treated cells are cleared gradually through your body's own lymphatic system over the following weeks, which is why results build rather than appear overnight. Sessions are comfortable and warm, with no anesthesia, no suction, and no recovery period. A typical course is [4–6] sessions spaced roughly one week apart. BEST FOR: Abdomen, flanks, inner and outer thighs, upper arms, bra line, and submental fullness — localized fat that has stayed put despite consistent diet and exercise.

The same controlled heat that disrupts fat cells also triggers a collagen response in the dermis. Treated skin gradually firms and retracts, which matters most in areas where fat reduction alone can leave laxity behind — the lower abdomen after pregnancy, upper arms, inner thighs. This is a slower, quieter result than the fat reduction, and it continues to develop for [8–12] weeks after your final session. BEST FOR: Mild to moderate laxity, post-pregnancy abdominal skin, and anyone who wants their contouring result to be accompanied by tighter, better-quality skin.

Cellulite isn't a fat problem so much as a structural one — fibrous bands tethering the skin while fat pushes up between them. The shallow handpiece works at that interface, targeting superficial fat while stimulating collagen in the overlying tissue, which softens the dimpled appearance and improves the texture and tone of the skin's surface. It's most often used alongside deep-handpiece treatment in the same session rather than on its own. BEST FOR: Dimpling and uneven texture on the thighs, buttocks, and upper arms — particularly when paired with fat reduction in the same area.
What to expect.
Every Onda treatment at Mineral begins with a consultation — reviewing your goals, your health history, the areas you want addressed, and what's realistic for your body and timeline. Ana will be direct with you: Onda is a contouring treatment, not a weight-loss treatment, and it works best on localized fat in people already at or near a stable weight. Sessions run [30–60] minutes depending on the number of areas treated. Most clients describe the sensation as a deep, moving warmth — comfortable enough to work through, with no numbing required. There is no downtime: you can return to work, to the gym, and to your day immediately afterward. Results develop gradually over [6–12] weeks as your body clears the treated tissue, and hydration and movement between sessions genuinely help the process. A follow-up is included to assess your results and plan next steps.
